TGIF! This marks the first full week of our HyperLINKS – hopefully you’re finding that its news you can use. So without further ado, it looks like a Hyperic filled Friday. Our favorite :)

  • We’re first to make news today – as Redmonk’s newest customer we had our first customer briefing. Michale Cote came up with a quick blog post about the meeting which he also mentions Mike Olson has resurfaced to work with Hyperic – expect to hear more on that in the future from the man himself!
  • We noticed Twitter launched Twitter Status. This is yet another non-real-time service that they provide to their users to explain why the site went down. I am thinking a realtime service like Hyperic would be better!
  • Contegix thinks so too, as they outline their free service (Hyperic HQ Enterprise) they offer to their end users. Contegix may be a hosting service, but they get that monitoring transparency is important to customer confidence in their hosted applications.
  • Sarah Perez of ReadWriteWeb writes eloquently on how Web 2.0, cloud computing and other trends are changing the face of IT
