First HQ Beta Bundles Released

The first binary releases of HQ 3.0 beta have now appeared on SourceForge.net. Grab them, see the release notes, discuss in the HQ beta forum, and remember to submit bugs in our tracker.

Hyperic HQ 3.0 marks a significant upgrade over HQ 2.7.x, with the following functionality added to open source HQ:

• Operations Dashboard ­ – central view for real-time, general health of entire infrastructure managed
• More Powerful Alerting ­ – Alert escalation, alert acknowledgement, RSS actions
• Event Tracking & Correlation – ­ historical and real-time information from any log resource, configuration file, or security module that can be correlated with availability, utilization and performance
• Corrective Control ­ – perform any product-specific action available
